The guys at Dekasu came to me to design a logo for their new company.

Dekasu is a free-to-use career management toolkit designed to give the user a secure place to store career history and to help with career development.

Above is the old logo which they were not totally happy with. They wanted something more modern and fresh.

I started by brainstorming and sketching my initial ideas. Keywords that were mentioned in the brief included innovative, commitment, professional and responsible.

I then went about rendering some of the logo designs and sent them off to Dekasu for their feedback.

Idea 1 and 2 were based around stairs to represent leading up to ones career goals. With Idea 3 I used the letter 'A' as an arrow striking up through the word Dekasu to symbolize career progression.

They were keen on idea 3 and asked me to try out some colour variations.

And this is the final version that was chosen.
