FAQ’s

To help potential clients I have answered some of the most common questions I am asked. If there is a question that isn’t answered here please get in touch.

1. How much do you charge?

This is an important question but it is one that doesn’t have a direct answer.
It takes time to create with the level of detail that I pride myself on.  Depending on your budget we can devote more or less time to your project.  Obviously the more time allocated the better the end result.

2. How long will it take?

This depends on the project itself and also how much work I have on at the time.
As a guide:

  • A small website will normally take around 3-4 weeks for the design and development. If it just the design you are after this will take considerably less time.
  • A logo on average will take 1-2 weeks.
  • An app is a hard one to estimate as they come in all shapes and sizes.  If you contact me with  rough brief I can give you an idea.
3. How do I pay for your services?

I prefer bank transfer but also accept PayPal (PayPal’s charges will be added to the invoice), cheque or a bank draft.

In most cases I require a 50% down payment before the project starts and the final 50% will be paid at the end of the project prior to final files being handed over.  For larger projects this can be broken down in to project milestones.

4. What file formats will I receive from you?

That really depends on the project.

If its a logo design I will supply you with the original .AI (Adobe Illustrator) and .EPS files plus a .PDF and PNG’s with all variations of the logo i.e. full colour, white with a transparent background, small icon (if required) etc.

For websites and applications I will supply layered .PSD (Photoshop) files with copies in .PNG.

For anything print I will handover original .AI or .PSD’s and print ready .PDF’s.

5. What if I already have a website or a logo and just want a few changes?

Yes thats fine.  I can quote accordingly.

6. Who owns the copyright?

Once full payment has been made, full ownership of designs will be handed over to you.

7. When can you start on my project?

That depends on my workload, but if you get in contact I can let you know what your start time will be and give you an estimated completion date.

8. How do I get in contact with you?
